The most important snacking day of the year is nearly upon us: Super Bowl Sunday. (Yay!) And like every Super Bowl, the game falls on the first weekend in February, just as we’ve started to feel the results of our perennial “new year, new you” diet ambitions and dry January successes. (Boo!) So, how can you navigate the festive field of cheesy, saucy, spicy goodness without completely trashing those healthy habits? While the traditional game day grub skews more into cheat day territory than athlete-friendly fare (go figure), some of the classic dishes are easy wins (guacamole’s so popular America’s at risk of running out of avocados this weekend, and made fresh it couldn’t be healthier), while others need only simple switches to be turned into touchdowns (turns out baked wings can be as crispy as fried with just a little baking soda added to the mix). First up, assemble your starting roster — we’re talking an air fryer (Philips makes an extra-large model for a crowd’s worth of Buffalo wings chickpeas), an indoor smoker (Breville’s Smoking Gun infuses anything from ribs to popcorn) and an InstantPot (Slow cooked chili? • Ladies (and Men, and Kids) in Red

The Lunar New Year is just around the corner (Feb. 5, to be exact) and we can’t wait to stuff ourselves with prawn crackers and longevity noodles in honour of the Year of the Pig. As for our celebratory duds, H&M has chosen Canada as the only country outside the Asian continent to get its Chinese New Year collection (yay for us!). The extensive 120-piece collection for men, women, kids and babies — online and in select stores now — will have the whole family decked out in top-to-toe red, the most auspicious colour in Chinese culture. Ranging from ruffled dresses to embodied sweats, pieces are ripe for new year’s celebrations but will look equally chic all year round. The collection campaign brings together a bevy of Chinese celebs, including Yang Mi and actor Mark Chao, stars of Netflix hit series Eternal LoveH&M

• Don’t Worry, Bieb’s Happy

Is Justin Bieber taking cues from Kanyé? Canada’s most famous export just launched his debut clothing line, and the almost-all-beige (sorry, “camel”) colour palette is giving us serious Yeezy vibes. The similarities stop there, though; the skater-inspired line consists of oversized T-shirts and sweatshirts, corduroy pants and shorts, and workwear shirts and coveralls. Dubbed Drewhouse after Bieber’s middle name, the brand’s logo is a yellow smiley face, because… well, we have no idea. Surprisingly, the Biebs didn’t hire new wife and model Hailey Baldwin Bieber for the Drewhouse campaign — although we have to admit the rag-tag group of kids selected are probably more on-brand. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s cosmetics line is stacked with cult favourite products, but one in particular has garnered iconic status. Her Pillow Talk lipstick shade is beloved for its universally flattering, versatile nude-pink shade — and now, you can cover your whole face in it (in, like, a really pretty way, not in a four-year-old-playing-with-her-mom’s-lipstick way). The Pillow Talk collection — which adds a duotone blush ($50) and a rose-and-amber eyeshadow quad($66) to the mix — first surfaced as a limited-edition release which was perpetually sold out. While last-minute resort bookings start to seem really appealing around this time of year, the smart money is on booking ahead. Club Med has just opened up reservations for its newest eco-chic destination, Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda, which will welcome its first guests Nov. 30, 2019. The 93-acre resort is divvied into four boutique “villages”: Caribbean Paradise, a colourful, tropical concept at the heart of the resort; Explorer Cove, which caters to families; Emerald Jungle, located steps from the spa and treetop yoga classes (sign us up for that one); and Archipelago, a private, adults-only escape where oceanfront suites have outdoor showers and bedroom infinity views. • Building a Better Burger

The obsession with Tim Hortons double-double is real — so real that the brand is turning the beloved drink into a take-anywhere bar. The snack, which will launch later this year, is described as having a “smooth and silky texture with an espresso bean finish.” Don’t get it twisted though: this isn’t a chocolate bar with coffee in it (that’s still all you, Coffee Crisp), but a bar that allows coffee lovers to take their cup of joe on the go more easily. The final list of ingredients (along with how much caffeine is actually in this coffee bar) will be released when the product rolls out this fall. BNN Bloomberg

• Cut It Out 

While our sympathy for those lucky enough to own a home in this real estate market is limited, we do feel the pain of spending a gorgeous summer’s day cutting grass. But thanks to AI, the days of pushing an ancient machine back and forth across your lawn are over. iRobot, the company that revolutionized vacuuming is back with an innovation that’ll change summer weekends forever: the iRobot Terra. The setup is simple: Just place the wireless beacons around the perimeter of your yard and take the robotic mower on a manual spin. After that, it’ll do the rest. The accompanying app lets homeowners schedule cutting, program grass height and mark areas that the Terra should avoid. But before you start cutting grass-cutting out of your summer schedule, there’s some fine print: As of now, iRobot has only committed to launching the Terra in Germany and doing a beta launch in the U.S. (The grass may not be greener, but it will be shorter.) Engadget

• Night Light

If there’s one New Year’s resolution almost everyone can agree on, it’s getting more sleep (or better quality sleep at that). Luckily, sleep wunderkind Casper has developed something beyond its mattresses, duvets and sheets to help: its new LED Glow light ($120 or $220 for two). Much like the sleep lights that came before it, Glow gradually dims when you’re getting ready for bed and slowly brightens when it’s time to get up. But what’s innovative is this: Glow is small for a sleep light (5″ tall x 3″ wide) so it’ll easily fit on your nightstand and it can be controlled by gestures (flip it to turn it on, twist to adjust brightness and wiggle for a gentle, low light). It’s also portable (the base is its charger), so it can easily come with you for those middle-of-the-night bathroom trips or water breaks (so you don’t have to turn on all the lights and wake up the whole house, and it’ll be that much easier to get back to sleep). TechCrunch
